Tuscany (small towns)

(Local Name: Toscana / Toscano) Tuscany has a bit of everything Italy has to offer. With produce, a beautiful landscape, and some of the best art collections in Italy, there is much to choose from.

Main dishes are prepared with local ingredients and are grilled, roasted, or fried using healthy doses of olive oil.

The artists of the Renaissance began their careers in Tuscany and much of their work is on display in fine museums in the region. The work of Tuscan architects, who charted the course of modern architecture, is widely seen in the buildings throughout the region including the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Tuscany also has some fine beaches on Monte Argentario and Isola d'Elba.
