Borgo San Lorenzo Attractions

Borgo San Lorenzo, the chief market center of the Mugello region, lies 30km/20 mi north of Florence near the left bank of Sieve.
San Lorenzo
The Church of San Lorenzo is dedicated to Borgo San Lorenzo's Patron Saint, St Lawrence. It is an aisled church, built in the 13th century and partly rebuilt in the 17th. Damage caused by an earthquake in 1919 was made good in 1922. The church contains panel-paintings and terracottas of the 15th to 17th centuries. The brick-built campanile (mid 13th century) is in a style transitional between Romanesque and Gothic.
