Description
(Local Name: Fortín Conde de Mirasol) The small Colonial, Conde de Marisol Fort is perched on a hill above the town of Isabel Segunda. It was never completed, but it was the last Spanish fort built in the Americas. The structure dates to around the 1840s. Conde de Marisol Fort now houses a museum of the island's 4,000-year-old Indian history, as well as the history of the colonial and navy presence.

Conde de Marisol Fort is probably not worth a special trip to see but is worth a visit for anyone interested in the island's history.
