The Tama County Historical Society Museum is located in the restored County Jail. It was built in 1870 and included living quarters for the Sherriff and his family. Displays include Indian and Pioneer artifacts, books, clothing, children's toys, tools, household items, furniture, military uniforms and memorabilia.
