Ottumwa Attractions
Ottumwa (pop. 25,000) is an American Indian word meaning "rippling waters." The town is located southeastern part of Iowa on both sides of the Des Moines River and began during an 1843 land rush.
Airpower Museum
The Airpower Museum near Ottumwa features more than 30 antique, classic and unique aircraft primarily from World War I through World War II. Exhibits include scale models, World War II glider pilot exhibit, Lindbergh exhibit, flying clothing and gear.

The Beach
The Beach is an outdoor water park in Ottumwa with a wave pool, body slide, four-acre lagoon with paddleboats and kayaks, and a children's activity pool. Indoor pool facilities include two pools and a 100-foot tube slide.
