Elk Horn (pop. 650) is a Danish farming community with an early 1900s Danish house on College Street known as Bedstemor's House.
Bedstemor's House (Grandmother's House)
Bedstemor's House on the grounds of the Danish Immigrant Museum is furnished in the period between 1910 and 1920 when young Danish American families lived in the area.

Danish Immigrant Museum
The Danish Immigrant Museum in Elk Horn tells the story of Danish immigration and the Danish American experience. Displays include collections of tools, clothing, photographs and household furnishings. The Morning Star Chapel and a family history center are on the grounds.

Danish Windmill
Elk Horn's Danish windmill was built in 1848 in Norre Snede, Denmark. The mill was dismantled and shipped to Elk Horn where it was reassembled and now stands.
