The Danish Immigrant Museum in Elk Horn tells the story of Danish immigration and the Danish American experience. Displays include collections of tools, clothing, photographs and household furnishings. The Morning Star Chapel and a family history center are on the grounds.

Elk Horn's Danish windmill was built in 1848 in Norre Snede, Denmark. The mill was dismantled and shipped to Elk Horn where it was reassembled and now stands.
