The Humboldt County Historical Museum is located in the 1879 Mill Farm House in Dakota City. The complex includes 1870's farm buildings (house, barn, etc.), an 1883 schoolhouse, a jail, a doctor's office, a post office, and a tinsmith's shop. Exhibits include American Indian artifacts, a gun collection and farm equipment.
