The Prairie Trails Museum of Wayne County in Corydon, features more than 25,000 artifacts, which bring pioneer heritage to life. The large main brick building has five galleries covering over 21,000 sq. ft. , including an exhibit on the Mormon Trail, early 1900 Main Street, Armed Forces Gallery and a 20th Century Wing. The big red Heritage Barn
contains an extensive collection of early farm implements and tools displayed in interesting interpretive exhibits. Just to the east of the barn is a picnic area where visitors can take a break in the shade of stately oak trees.
