The Brunnier Art Museum presents a decorative arts collection that includes ceramics, glass, dolls, ivory, jade, and enameled metals. The collection was donated by Iowa State alumnus Henry J Brunnier and his wife Ann - whom the museum is named for. Other exhibits include prints, paintings, sculptures, textiles, carpets, wood objects, lacquered pieces, silver, and furniture.

The Farm House Museum is located in a fourteen-room, grey-stuccoed structure that was built in 1860 and was the first building on the Iowa State University campus. The museum focuses on the first fifty years of the university, 1860 through 1910.

Iowa State University was founded in 1858 and was the birthplace of the electronic digital computer. The Atanasoff-Berry Computer was built from 1937 to 1942. Other highlights of the campus include a 100-foot campanile that houses a 50-bell carillon and Reiman Gardens.

Iowa State University's Reiman Gardens is the largest public garden in Iowa. Located immediately south of ISU's Jack Trice Football Stadium, Reiman Gardens offers 14-acres and 26 unique garden areas with seasonal displays designed around a theme that changes each year. Inside there are two large glass houses; the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing, holding one of the most diverse collections of live, exotic butterflies in the country, and an indoor Conservatory open year-round.
