Museum of Natural History
Established in 1858, the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History is home to exhibits that include animal, plant, fossil and anthropological collections. Highlights include the state's geology, ecology and native cultures over 500 million years; and over 1,000 American birds.

Old Capitol Museum
The Old Capitol's cornerstone was laid on Independence Day in 1840, and it served for 150 years. The Old Capitol was deeded to The University of Iowa in 1857 and has served as library, chapel, and armory as well as providing space for classrooms and offices as the University grew.

University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Medical Museum
The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Medical Museum began with the donation of a case of surgical instruments that belonged to a member of the fourth graduating class of the University of Iowa Medical Department in 1874. Exhibits include photographs, artifacts, and "hands-on" activities that show the advances in patient care from ancient times to the present day.
