The Metamora Courthouse was built in 1845 and Abraham Lincoln practiced law here in 1845-86. The first floor contains artifacts of early local history and another exhibit describing the 1850s court system and Lincoln's life. The second floor houses the former courtroom that is furnished to represent the era during which Lincoln practiced law.
