Description
Dr. James Underhill came to Idaho Springs in 1897 as a prominent Colorado surveyor and mining engineer. The home at 1416 Miner Street served as the Underhill home and his office. The Underhill property was deeded to the Historical Society in 1964 to be used as a museum. The Underhill Museum presents mining exhibits as well as Lucy Underhill's Victorian Garden and Courtyard.
