Huntersville - Historic Latta Plantation Park
The Historic Latta Plantation in Huntersville is a restored 19th Century plantation. Here visitors will be able to step back in time and learn what life was like for planters, owners, and slaves. Costumed interpreters go about their daily activities much as they did several hundred years ago. Historic Latta Plantation began operations in 1976 and has evolved over the years to become a first class attraction in the local area.

Carolina Raptor Center
For those with an interest in birds of prey, the Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville should be one the sights to see. The Carolina Raptor Center is located on the property of the 1200 acre Latta Plantation Nature Reserve. The center is a research facility, and they also care for sick and injured birds. One of the main purposes of the Carolina Raptor Center is education and they run an extensive awareness program for children.

Historic Latta Plantation
The Historic Latta Plantation is located near Huntersville. This wonderful attraction depicts the lives of the owners, slaves, and farmers in the 19th Century. There are many different attractions to keep young and old entertained including farm animals such as a Chico the burro, a Cotswold ewe, and Bambi a Morgan Horse among others. The Historic Latta Plantation also has an active event calendar featuring fun activities such as an Easter egg hunt and a Bluegrass and BBQ festival.
