Paradfurdo Attractions
The spa and health resort of Parádfürdo lies 13km (8mi.) northeast of Mátraháza, 240m (788ft) above sea-level on the twisting Road 24. The first baths were built here in the late 18th C; the waters are said to be particularly beneficial in treating digestive problems. A beautiful 80ha (200 acre) park surrounds the sanatorium and baths. There is also an open-air bath on the lower edge of the town.
Coach Museum
The Coach Museum in the Cifra Stables in the upper part of the town, with both simple wagons and very elegant carriages from various eras, is of considerable interest.
