Houston - Astrodomain

To the south of the city is the Astrodomain, an extensive leisure complex. Its central feature is the massive Astrodome (Harris County Domed Stadium), the world's first roofed stadium. This immense hall, fully air-conditioned, is 645 ft across and 205 ft high and can accommodate between 55,000 and 65,000 spectators according to requirements.
On the south side of the stadium is the lower Astrohall, which is used for exhibitions and rodeos. Still further south, beyond I 610, is the 460 ft high Astroneedle, in Astroworld, a large amusement park, next door to which is Waterworld, an aquatic recreation park.
