Hofn - Ketillaugarfjall

(Local Name: Ketillaugarfjall) This prominent and colorful mountain rises 670m/2,200ft above the delta near Bjarnarnes. Named for a legendary woman called Ketillaug who carried a pot of gold to the mountain and never returned.

A brilliantly colored alluvial fan spreading out from its base presents a good photo opportunity.
