Höfn - Hoffell Farm

(Local Name: Hoffell) Hoffell is a farm with a small church in the Nesjar County at the foot of the Hoffell Mountains, where a selection of semi-precious stones can be found.

Mining of the stones was started in the early 20th C but was not continued.

Amongst the precious and semiprecious stones found in great quantities in the mountains of the property are marble, Iceland spar, opals and jaspers.
