Herningsholm Mansion Description
The Herningsholm Mansion, a major historical building in central Jutland, merits a visit. After careful restoration it was equipped as a museum in 1980 to commemorate the author Steen Steensen Blicher (1782-1848), the writer of popular novels on life in the region and known affectionately as the "Poet of the Heathland". The exhibits include illustrations by Danish artists for inclusion in his books, first editions and original manuscripts.
