Hereford - Old House

Hereford has many handsome old houses and remains of its town walls. Old House, a half-timbered old building from 1621 which is now a museum, is situated in High Town. The collection encompasses memorabilia of David Garrick (1717-1779), who was director of Drury Lane Theater in London from 1747-1776 and was born at the Angel Inn in Hereford. He represented the characters of Shakespeare in a new more human style and wrote several comedies himself.
