Hechingen - St James's Church

(Local Name: St Jakobus Stiftskirche) To the south of the Schlossplatz in Hechingen stands the Stiftskirche of St Jakobus (1779-83), in the Zopfstil ("pigtail style") characteristic of the transition between Roccoco and neo-classicism. To the left of the high altar is the bronze grave-slab (by Peter Vischer) of Count Eitel Friedrich II of Zollern (d. 1512) and his wife.
