Description
Commandingly situated on the Hohenzollern, to the south of Hechingen, is Burg Hohenzollern, the ancestral seat of the house of Hohenzollern. The present buildings, apart from the 15th C. St Michael's Chapel, were erected between 1850 and 1867 in a reproduction of earlier styles. Some rooms in the castle are open to the public and there is a valuable treasury.
