Madonna Virga Jesse Festival Description
Every seven years in August a procession for the Madonna Virga Jesse is held in Hasselt.

The statue is kept in the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwkerk. On this occasion the "Langeman" is also carried, a 7m/23ft high figure in Spanish uniform, which goes back to the 15th C. (next date 1996).
