The Butler County Historical Museum in Hamilton is housed in the 1860s, two storey, Benninghofen House. The home was donated to the Butler County Historicfal Society by a member of the Benninghofen family and has operated as their museum for over 50 years. It is decorated in period furnishings and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
