Hämeenlinna to Tampere Cruise
The motor vessels of the "Silver Line" sail twice daily from Hämeenlinna, one taking a western and the other an eastern route. The trip allows visitors to experience the harmony between water and woodland in this part of Finland.
From Hämeenlinna the boat sails along the narrow Vanajavesi. To the right can be seen the Rantasipi Aulanko Hotel and soon afterwards the church of Hattula. The boat then continues into the Vanajanselkä, at the west end of which (on right, the old stone church of Sääksmäki) the two routes diverge.
