Old Town Description
(Local Name: Altstadt) The center of Hall in Tirol's picturesque Old Town (Altstadt), higher up, is the Oberer Stadtplatz. Here stands the medieval Rathaus, in which the fine Council Chamber (1477; beamed ceiling) and the Mayor's Parlor (1660; panelled are open to visitors).

The parish church, standing on a terrace, is basically Late Gothic, with a Roccoco interior (1752). In the north aisle the Waldauf Chapel (c. 1500), enclosed by a fine screen, houses a remarkable collection of relics collected by the knight Florian Waldauf von Waldenstein.
