Qianlingshan Gongyuan Park - Cave of the Unicorn

(Local Name: Qilling Dong) In another corner of the park lies the Cave of the Unicorn (Qilling Dong), which was discovered in 1531. For many years Generals Chang Hsueliang and Yang Hucheng were imprisoned here by the Guomindang (Kuomintang) nationalist government after having been found guilty in 1937 of collaborating with the Communist Party when Chiang Kai-shek was captured in Xi'an.
