Guatemala City - Museum of Natural History Museo de Historia Natural
The Museum of Natural History exhibits specimens of natural flora and fauna plus mineralogy and paleontology. Dioramas of animals are featured which include the quetzal bird, with shimmering iridescent green feathers and a long swooping tail. An ecological library for children is included plus a butterfly house and a botanical garden.

Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Garden offers a wide variety of local and exotic plants, including a wide range of Guatemalan, endemic and endangered species most of them identified with their scientific and their common name. The 18,000 sq m/194,000 sq ft garden was the first Botanical Garden set up in Central America and the only one in Guatemala.
