Müstair
Müstair is a small town on the border of Switzerland and Italy. It marks the start of the Müstair Valley, which leaads into the Veng-adin National Park in southeastern Switzerland. Müstair is famous for it Monastery tht was founded in 708.

Monastary Museum
The Benedictine Abbey in Müstair, founded in 780, is of particular interest. The frescoes in St John's Church (eighth century), some of which can be seen in the Swiss National Museum in Zurich, are among the finest Carolingian work. Also to be seen is a 12th C. statue of Charles the Great.
