Fornæs - Sostrup Castle

A few miles northeast of Grenå lies Fornæs, the most easterly point in Jutland, where a lighthouse was built in 1892. From here an interesting excursion can be made to Sostrup Slot near Gjerrild in northern Djursland. This castle, built about 1600, was taken over by Cistercian nuns in 1960 and extensively renovated. It is surrounded by a park containing holiday homes which visitors can rent.
