Olympus Attractions Ólymbos

A rewarding trip from Kárpathos (by bus or taxi) is to the typical old mountain village of Ólymbos (beautiful views; windmills, still operating), in the northern half of the island; it can also be reached from Diafáni, near the north end of the east coast. The inhabitants of Ólymbos still wear their richly embroidered traditional costumes, and the village's traditional wedding festivities, lasting three days, are famed throughout Greece.
