Station on the Salonica-Alexandroúpolis line.

The town of Dráma, 36 km/22 mi northwest of Kavála in eastern Macedonia, lies at the foot of Mt Falakron (2,194m/7,199ft), on a river which is harnessed to drive oil-mills. The area is well watered and fertile, producing cotton, rice and tobacco which are processed in the town.
Dráma is a good location from which to enjoy all the sports offered by Mt Falakro. The mountain of remarkable beauty boasts ski slopes for winter sports enthusiasts and four well-equipped refuges for climbers.
