Diakoftó, 15km/9mi east of Aíyion, is a railroad station on the Patras-Corinth line, from which a narrow-guage railroad goes up to Kalávryta. From the upper station at Megaspilaion it is a 45minutes' walk to the cave monastery of Megaspilaion, founded in the fifth century.
