Three km/2 mi south of the Achilleion is the charming fishing village of Benítses, with the remains of a Roman villa. From here or from the Achilleion the return to Kérkyra is on the road along the east coast (17 km/10.5 mi or 10 km/12.5 mi).

Benítses is now a tourist resort with tavernas lining the beach.
