Graz - Styrian Autumn Festival
(Local Name: Steirische Herbst) Every year since 1968, in the months of October and November, the Styrian Autumn ("Steirische Herbst") has been held in the Graz Municipal Park (Stadtpark). Peformances based on themes from literature, art and music, especially of the avant-garde variety, are held with the idea of promoting links between artists and the public at large, as well as fellowship between nations.
This annual two-month festival runs from early October to late November in celebration of the autumn harvest. The festival is renowned for showcasing contemporary theater, music and visual arts.
Concerts by symphonies and chamber orchestras, as well as theatrical performances, art exhibitions and lectures are only some of the 200 events held in venues including the City Park and the Mobile Hall.
