Port of Freeport

Significantly east of downtown Freeport and Port Lucaya, this port is not one where one flows off the ship an into the downtown. Consequently the cruise ships which arrives are the daily junkets out of Florida which carry many Bahamians returning from shopping stateside.

There are plans to remove some of the industrial port facilities to make a more attractive cruise port.
