The main entrance to the park was established in 1959. The park features sandstone hills with wide views and many Aboriginal remains, including rock drawings, waterfalls, beautiful spring flowers (including waratahs). Brisbane Water National Park is separated by the Hawkesbury River and Broken Bay from Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

Tips
Access the main entrance to the park at Girrakool, just off the Pacific Highway, Calga exit. The east park of the park can be reached on the road from Kariong-Woy to Woy-Patonga.
