Göreme - Dark Church

(Local Name: Karanlik Kilise) Karanlik Kilise (Dark Church) forms a part of the monastery and includes a refectory with a double apse and a table and chairs carved from the stone. The 11th century cruciform dome is borne by four pillars and ranks among the finest in the Göreme valley. The walls and dome are adorned with scenes from the Bible.
