Ghent - Sint-Jacobskerk
To the east of the Vrijdagmarkt Sint-Jacobskerk stands in the Bij Sant-Jacobs square, one of the oldest religious buildings in Ghent. The crossing tower and both west towers are of the Romanesque period; the rest was finished between the 13th and 15th C. The church contains tombs and some fine paintings, especially in the ambulatory (Coxie, de Crayer, van Cleef).
