16km/10mi north of Bad Mergentheim, in the vine-clad middle Tauber valley, is the little town of Tauberbischofsheim, with handsome 18th C. half-timbered buildings. In the old Schloss of the Electors of Mainz is the Tauber-Franconian Museum.
