Mittelrhein Region Attractions
The vineyards of the Mittelrhein region stretch 68 miles from the outskirts of Bingen to just north of Königswinter. This region is especially popular with tourists. Many visitors take Rhein cruises along this section of the river. The scenery is superb with medieval castles perched precariously on cliffs.
In terms of climate, the moderating effect of the river itself is the saving grace for this region.
