Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park Attractions

To the east of the Elbe-Lübeck Canal, between Gross-Grönau in the north and Büchen in the south, extends the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park, a region of forests and lakes covering some 400 sq. km/155 sq. mi.

With more than 40 lakes, the area is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, offering endless scope for bathing, sailing and rowing.

Southwest of Ratzeburg is Mölln, the town of Till Eulenspiegel, the legendary jester who is supposed to have died here in 1350 and is commemorated by his gravestone, a monument and an Eulenspiegel Museum.
