At Turmhof 8 in Elberfeld is the Von der Heydt Museum (French Impressionism, 19th and 20th C. German painting). To the east, at Poststrasse 11, is the Wuppertal Watch and Clock Museum (Uhrenmuseum).
On the Bundesallee is the Theater (1966) and on the Johannisberg, near the Stadtbad (Municipal Baths, 1956).
The Clock Museum in Wuppertal examines methods used to measure time over the past 5000 years. The collection began from items purchased at an auction in 1955.
