The Hopsewee Plantation in Georgetown was built more than 260 years ago by Thomas Lynch, a South Carolina delegate to the Continental Congress. The house was constructed of black cypress. 0nly five families have owned the home. It is furnished with eighteenth and nineteenth century furniture.
