Description
To the west of the main station is the Piazza del Principe, in which is the Palazzo Doria-Pamphili or Palazzo del Principe, built in 1522-29 as a country house for Doge Andrea Doria, with frescoes by Perin del Vaga, a pupil of Raphael (1528-33). Only the lakeside garden with the Neptune and Triton fountains is open to the public.
