Monnetier

The road through the beautiful valley of the Viaison leads to 3km/2mi: Monnetier (696 m/2,284ft), a health resort on a cleft between the Petit and Grand Salève, from which it is a half-hour climb to the summit of the Petit-Salève (900 m/2,953ft: beautiful views).

4.5km/3mi above Monnetier, to the right, is the upper station of the cableway (1,143 m/3,750ft; restaurant), with a magnificent panorama of Geneva, the lake and the Jura.
