Description
(Local Name: Jardin Anglais) On the south side of Geneva's Lac Léman (the Rive Gauche) the Promenade du Lac runs east from the Pont du Mont-Blanc, flanked by the Jardin Anglais (large flower clock, cafe), with the Monument National (figures of "Helvetia" and "Geneva"), erected in 1869 to commemorate Geneva's entry into the Confederation (1814). From here Quai Gustave-Ador leads northeast, following the shore of the lake (commercial and boating harbor).
