Isla Isabela - Urbina Bay

Near the center of the western shore on Isla Isabela is Urbina Bay. There is a landing site on a beach, from which there is a short trail. The area was formed by an uplift from the sea in 1954. A coral reef can now be seen above the water level. Wildlife here is similar to the rest of the western shore, with pelicans, flightless cormorants, marine iguanas, as well as turtles and rays.
