Freudenstadt - Marktplatz
The central feature of Freudenstadt is the spacious Marktplatz, surrounded by arcaded houses. With an area of 4.5 hectares/11 acres, it is one of the largest market squares in Germany.
In the center of the square are the Stadthaus (Town House), with the Heimatmuseum, and the Head Post Office.

Town Church
At the south corner of the Marktplatz in Freudenstadt stands the Stadtkirche, built in 1601-08 and restored in 1951. It consists of two naves at right angles to one another, one for men and the other for women. It also has a lectern of 1140, borne by figures of the four Evangelists, and an 11th-12th century font.
