On the south side of Freudenstadt, which here merges into the park-like natural fir forest (the "Palm Forest"), is the Kurviertel (spa quarter), with the Kurhaus (enlarged 1989) and the Kurgarten. At the foot of the Kienberg is the Kurmittelhaus (treatment facilities).
