Church of St Feuillen Description
The Irish missionary Feuillen (or Follianus) founded a monastery here around 650 which was destroyed in the 10th C. However in the 11th C., when the relics of St Feuillen were brought here, a start was made with the building of a new church. Of this there remain only the tower, the choir and the crypt which is the oldest in Belgium. The remainder of the Church of St Feuillen was rebuilt in the 18th C. The oak choirstalls (1524) and the 16th C. reliquary of the saints are worth seeing.
